Lunar fleet
control

A shared lunar computer assigns work to the fleet. Each rover handles its own movement and safety, reducing the need for continuous crew supervision.

Local fleet supervision

A conceptual outpost in Mare Tranquillitatis, with measured surrounding relief and an illustrative base crater. The solar receiver and mirror field set the main axis; processing and crew facilities occupy its service side. A large cargo lander sits across the habitats from the crew lander. Industrial oxygen tanks and a shielded shuttle pad extend the logistics route, with roads around the pad shield and a link past CHARON to the far side of the quarry. CHARON coordinates excavation and delivery locally.

How the workforce growsExplore five stages
CONCEPT MODEL / LUNAR WORKFORCE

Workforce development

A growing rover fleet needs crew support for maintenance and, eventually, local parts production.

Conceptual growth of human and robotic work capacity at a lunar base Human workforce forms the base of total effective work capacity. Robotic work begins as a smaller contribution stacked above it, then grows more rapidly as lunar manufacturing reduces the parts shipped from Earth. RELATIVE EFFECTIVE WORK CAPACITY
